SO TIRED. But I guess we have to be grateful becauseeeeee if we're tired.. means we've done stuff. Instead of those who can't even physically do stuff. You know? Haha. I'm so tired. That means easy slip into depression!!! Haha not depression la.. Just blehness. Whuut. Eeeeee. Anyway. The parade was super super weird. Not what I expected at all. No heavily decorated cars as floats, with people in Irish costumes dancing to Irish music. It was kinda creepy actually. :/ The costumes were weirdddd. And apparently the theme this year was Science. So it was like 'how dreams are made' or 'how our senses work'. So there were these people in weird costumes and on their faces were these thick red lips. Some of them just really got me going 'WHAT AM I LOOKING AT?'. Haha. The best was the hot dog bun Elaine and I bought in a stall. Yummy! And then we had an Irish Breakfast at Dame's Cafe after the parade. Not bad but not the best for me. And AND AND the best part was WE CAME ACROSS A MALAYSIAN RESTAURANT that actually sold real Chinese food. Seriously. Over here, Chinese food is just CURRY, fried noodles which have curry powder or something in it, or sweet and sour chicken. It's not real! They keep saying it's Chinese food BUT IT'S NOT. I was walking past and the first thing that caught my eyes was the Halal sign. I was like ooooh haven't seen that in a while! Then I saw the name of the shop: Nyonya, Truly Malaysian Cuisine! EEEEEE!!! And the second Y in the Nyonya had like a hibiscus on it.. like in those 1Malaysia signs. And we looked at the menu and they had like tom yam, fried MEE HOON (YOU CAN'T FIND MEE HOON HERE!!!!!!!!), MILO, white coffee, rendang, ABC, cincau. OOOOOOOMYGOSHHHHHHHHH. We decided to go in and they had Malaysian flags for deco! It was sooooo nice I felt like crying! Miss home a lot!!!!!!! :( Had milo, which was too sweet to be honest, wasn't really milo.. just condensed milk haha. Elaine had cincau soya milk. Gah! MALAYSIANS IN IRELAND!!!! Go and support the restaurant!!! It's on Dame's Street! That was truly the highlight of the day. NYONYA IN DUBLIN!!!! I read some reviews online and I just hope hope hope that the owner is a good person and that the service is good. It seems like the food is generally good because the reviews are all positive, not for the service though. THEY MUST IMPROVE! Cuz they call themselves truly Malaysian! JIA YOU! I support you!
Oh and the city was SOOOO PACKED. Seriously it was awesome lo. Loved the music performances on the street or on the stage for the festival. Love people! And apparently there were 500000 people in the city for the parade!!!!! CRAZY!!!!!!! But it's kinda cool. Cuz Elaine and I were a part of this 500000! haha
Anyway. I need to be stronger!!!! Gonna sleep soon. Goodnight!
