So yea. Yesterday I was so stressed, stressed because I was planning to surprise my friends at school today. Stressed because I was scared I would forget something I wanted to give my friends, and whether the guard would let me in etc. etc. Pointless. Anyway, yesterday night I set my phone's alarm at 7am. When I woke up, I clicked the Snooze until it was 8.20am (I know!). When I saw the time I was like, no! because they get recess at 8.30am on Saturdays. So I was lying there thinking whether I could make it or not. Then suddenly it hit me: I haven't changed the time of my phone. It's 5.20am. Way to wake up at dawn for no reason. Gosh. So I reset my phone time and slept.
When I got to school, the guard just asked me to sign the visitors list or whatever it is and let me in. Thankfully! I was so worried about that. And then I walked straight and I saw that prefects were up and about doing a spot check on attires. 'Wow, first week of school. No mercy.' went through my head. Naturally, the Prefect Board was full of prefects and the first people (those that I knew) I saw were Tham and Sabina! I was so excited and nervous, I have no idea why. I was just really happy. Then they called Ephraim and Pearlyn. It was nice. Then they brought me up to S2 (thank goodness! I didn't want to walk around the school lost) and it was a few minutes before recess then. I crossed Zhong, Xiao and Ren just so some of my friends could see me. I was aiming for the 'OMGosh! She's back!' expression. Haha. It sort of worked. In S2Xiao, Mr. Law (Add. Maths teacher) was teaching. The windows were open so when he saw me he was like 'Hello. How come you're not wearing uniform?' 'Because I'm not a student here anymore. If I wear it I can't leave the school compound. They'll think I'm playing hooky.' 'I'm now the teacher in charge of the uniforms. I want to see you wear your uniform' etc. etc. Hahaha. It was so funny. He's such a weird, old teacher, but can be mean with the white board eraser when he wants to be (I'm serious!).
Anyway. Recess came and my friends came out. So fun! I brought so much junk food from our pantry in Melb. for them because I knew they would appreciate it during class or tuition. We just hung there and chatted. Went to the canteen and to Pei's shop! It was just enjoyable. Everyone kept asking me 'when did you get back?', 'when are you leaving?' (which, by the way, is the 30th of Jan), 'oh, then you're not celebrating Chinese New Year?'. So yea, I kept answering the same questions over and over again. What annoys me sometimes is that people who are not close to me pretend like they are my best friend. Okaayyy.. Or worse is my close friends being distant like I've never been away before. Fine by me.
It was awesome. Seeing my friends and just hanging out with them. But. Guess what? I didn't finish this post and left it half way, and now I don't remember. I guess I went home after recess was up. Anyway. Miss my friends a lot. Glad to have them. =D
