Ways To Live Forever- Sally Nicholls

My name is Sam. I am eleven years old. I collect stories and fantastic facts. By the time you read this, I will probably be dead.
Sam loves facts. He wants to know about UFOs and horror movies and airships and ghosts and scientists, and how it feels to kiss a girl. And because he has leukaemia, he wants to know the facts about dying. Sam needs answers to the questions nobody answers- all of them.
Ways to Live Forever is the first novel from an extraordinarily talented young writer. Funny and honest, it is the most powerful and uplifting book you will ever read.
For a first book, it is a very good one. Angela lent me this book to read, and I think it is written very well. It really shows everything in the views of a young child, a young child who knows his time is limited. It's just really straightforward. It's kind of sad, in a good way, yet funny and amusing. Really gives you something to think about. it's so true and realistic. Yes! Recommended! A 5/5 for me! =D

Keeping Faith- Jodi Picoult

When Mariah White catches her husband with another woman, her life starts to fall apart. And when her daughter, Faith, begins to confide in an imaginary friend, her own brush with insanity starts to take on a darker meaning.
Then Faith appears to start performing miracles, and all at once this situation is spiralling out of Mariah's control. Is Faith truly seeing God? Or is she just a troubled little girl seeking refuge from her parent's divorce?
When it comes to matters of faith, it's hard to know who to believe.
I got the one on the left, but I want the one on the right. Or something like that. It's been republished many times, so I don't know which is the original cover. I'm reaching the end and it's totally awesome! It is written with a seriously open mind, with views from so many different points, and that takes lots of research and brain-storming. It questions alot of things about religion, and truth be told, it has got me thinking too. I even had this seriously weird dream about some confession thing at school after reading it before bed. Haha. It's a really good story, and very well-written. But I think you would have to be quite familiar with different types of religion. There's alot of different ones mentioned in the book and some I have never even heard of. BUT!!! I have a horrible feeling that the daughter is going to die! NO!!!!! I'm going to read the end soon! And on that note, 5/5! =D
