HAPPINESS! :)

Sat 15:27 7/4/12

I went downstairs to see if the coast was clear for me to cook my IndoMie which has been lying on my desk for a week or so. Been wanting to eat it for AGES! So to my surprise, when I walked into the kitchen, it was buzzing with activity! As in there was the smell of food and things were cooking etc. My hostmum was cooking goulash beef I think (like a stew). That was for tonight's dinner. And for tomorrow, she was defrosting a huge turkey and there was ham boiling in the pot. As in proper raw ham, those huge pink chunks, not slices of it. And Allen (the niece) was taking out cookies that were just baked from the tray, putting them on plates. Then my hostmum had a cake baking in the oven, her famous blackforest cake, everyone's favourite, they say. So looking forward to it!! She uses drinking chocolate (Cadbury) to bake lo! Not cocoa! And apparently it taste so much better!!! :D :D WHEEE! Gonna tell my mum about that! My hostmum was gonna make a second cake, and Allen was gonna put in another batch of cookies. (Dough from supermarket!) It was oaty cookies this time. So yummy ohhh! Got to try both types of cookies that she baked. :D I cooked my indomee. Not bad. But not the best. Expectations too high I guess. Haha.

You know I felt so so so so happy happy happy lo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really! Cuz I felt so at home oh. As in.. it reminded me of how mum would always be running around in the kitchen. Could smell things baking in the oven, hear the clanging and banging of all the pots and stuff. And I try to help but I'm too slow so my mum always rather doing it herself. Haha. Yer. It felt awesome oh. :) :) :) :( :) :( :) Then chatted with Jason. So funny. High standard man! That's the kind of english I use. According to him. Haha then I was saying I missed Nyanja, my guitar. And he was like.. 'that's so...' then 9gag meme-SEAL (ULTRA GAY!!!). Then he sent me another 9gag meme of the same seal but with the monocle and the top hat (9gag-Like a sir!) saying 'Homosexual' and then he said 'that's high standard'. Hahahahahaha. Like a sir!!! *Proudly sweeps off imaginary dirt from one shoulder* BAM!. Hahaha. So excited for dinner tonight and for TOMORROW!!!!! Oh and then the tv was showing Harry Potter number 3!!!!!!!!! EEEEE! What a coincidence lo that I just watched number 7 part 2 yesterday!!! HAhaahahha. Was so tempted to stay downstairs but decided to try to get some work done though I'm sleepy cuz of a lil swollen dry eyes from YESTERDAY! And Allen gave me a piece of Easter egg chocolate :D Yummy CHOCOLATE! :D

Hostmum told me about Spain, how they always go down there every year for a short summer holiday. Alicante, if I'm not mistaken. Sounds nice lo. Weather is warm there, and the beach, small town, people. Might go there some time. Haha. :D :D I'm much more attracted to places with warm climate. How lame.

Oh. Jason said to live in the present. Cuz he read a book about how this dude lost his memory, and he lives in the present, and he seems really happy. Well. I think sometimes that I may be living in the past. Not really fully embracing Ireland and stuff. You know? Me always yearning to go home to KK. I don't know la. But yes. I do think we always have to live in the present, but appreciate our past too. Hahaha. Pfffftttt as if he sounds that wise.

Denise duffer said that she 'kinda likes cheese'. Totally wise words. Hahahaha. :D :D Where's my mum????? Wanna skype her! EEEEEeeee!!!!

Family. :)

Fri 6/4/12 23:40

Haha. On another unrelated note, today was an okay day. Classes were really long. So glad it's over!!! It was really helpful and everything, but it was just very long and exhaustive you know!!!!!! So yea thought I would relax today and start my hardcore revision from tomorrow onwards. I must really use this holiday to bring myself up to speed with all the subjects, namely religion!!!!!!! Jia you!! :S Ray! You also have to work hard la!! OK???? If you work hard, then I have more more more motivation to do better lo. Jia you!!! :D If you can do it, so can I, and vice versa! ;)

Watched Criminal Minds on tv just now. It's my favourite crime series lo.. out of all the CSIs and such. It's the best. Mainly cuz of the black dude and Garcia, how close they both are and how supportive they are of each other, and also the psychologist young dude who's so intelligent. Really love it oh. But sometimes the stuff on their show creep me out, so scary!!! Especially when I'm home alone at night and I'm watching it. So scared that people like the psychos in their shows exist where I am!!! :O :O :O Eeeks!!!!

Today is Good Friday. I didn't go to mass, Elaine went with her host family. I don't know why I didn't feel like going. I guess I kinda think that it's kinda pretentious. Like people feel obliged to go rather than they go cuz they want to. The number of people who turn up for these special masses are like triple or more the normal amount lo. And I guess it's also cuz the habit was never built in me by my family. But anyway. Elaine said that she kinda cried, in front of her host mum too!! Cuz she said that she felt really homesick. She saw all the families and the kids and she was reminded of how her family would always go to Good Friday mass without fail, and how they would attend Saturday evening mass every week too. It was like a family thing. It's true you know, I've always felt that church is an opportunity where you can spend time with your family lo. Learnt that from Even Stevens (I THINK), the show on Disney/Nickelodeon or some channel. And the teenage son or something didn't wanna go to church. And the priest/pastor had a talk with him when the pastor was over for dinner. And he said something like 'For me, church was always a time for family. Every weekend, all of us would set aside some time to attend church together. But now, I have no one. My family is all gone (kinda thing I think). Your family won't be around forever too. Think about that'. :) It's true. You know I miss my parents too. I worry cuz I don't talk to them very often. When I'm in school and not with my phone, they're awake, when I'm off school, they're asleep. :( Like haven't had a proper conversation in a while la. Haizzz. Worried worried. A lot of people take it for granted lo. The presence of their family I mean. I do too. But I try not to. Family is super important. :) Don't wait for misfortune/fate to befall upon you to realize how lucky and blessed you are. Appreciate what you have. Appreciate their presence!!!! So another good thing about this week of holiday is that I can chat with them cuz I have no school.

Oh well. Gonna sleep soon. :D Can cook my indomee tomorrow!!! FINALLY! :D

Always.

Fri 6/4/12 23:23

WOW. I just watched Harry Potter 7 Part 2! Again!!!! Once again, I feel so so so blown away, so amazed and I truly truly truly take my hat off to JK Rowling, or, I think it's time we all know her real name, Joanne Rowling. Haha. Heard ages ago that JK Rowling was used so that it won't be evident that she's a female author, as a lot of people disregard adventure, fantasy books that are written by females. Something like that. I have NO IDEA whether that's true.

But anyway. I felt it when I read the last book, I felt it when I watched Part 1, I felt it when I watched Part 2, and I felt it again when I watched it just now. It's so mind-blowing, truly AMAZING as to how the story was so well-laid out. It's so hard to find these kind of books that are so well thought out, that only after 10 years since the first book was published, that the last piece of the jigsaw fell into place. Wow. Just.. WOW. Just the whole Snape thing. Superb. And I LOVE that it's not a total one-man show you know? With the horcruxes, how he had help, especially when Neville came into play towards the end. It's just really appealing to me. Also, I think it's a good thing she killed off Fred and Lupin and Tonks. Super super super super sad la. Heartbroken oh. I HATE that Fred had to die, leaving George all alone. But honestly. That's what makes it even greater. Bitter sweet. Heart wrenching. GAHHH!!!

And I can't help but to imagine how many times she had to think about what Snape would say in answer to Dumbledore's question. How many times did she rewrite it? Did she have to keep changing it? Rewording and rephrasing? Should she go for long answers or a simple one? Haha. It was just all perfect. "After all this time?" "Always." Does she realise how she has changed the meaning of that word? No one can feel so deeply for someone as Snape did for Lily. Seriously. Now whenever I say 'always', I will feel a double meaning to the word. SO SAD SO SAD. SO SAD. The Harry Potter chapter has closed. UGH. Felt that when the LAST movie just came out. I will forever remember the days when I would turn from the last page of the latest book, finish the story, and feel so empty, feeling the harsh pull back to reality and the realisation that for all the while I was reading the book, I honestly felt like I was part of another world. Haha. I always feel that the 9gag post of this guy with his forehead resting on his arm that's lying on the table, saying 'Leave me to mourn over the death of fictional characters'. UGHHHHH. So sad. :( This is the last shot of the threesome, the threesome that starred and grew up in front of the world. Ugh. :(

Anyway. Truly applaud JK Rowling. Seriously. Take a bow yo, you totally deserve it!!!! I love Harry Potter. The series and the movies. The whole creation of this world that is really magical! Loved it since I started reading the books, unsuspecting of how I would be sucked into a whole other fantastic world, and I will continue to love it.

After all this time? Always.

Reread this post!!!!!! From 2008. That was 4 years ago!! Woahhhhh. And I shall do one similar post soon. ;) Be grateful yo! :D CLICK TO READ AWESOME 2008 POST!!!!!!

Statuses!

Haha. Cuz I'm really sleepy and I can't bring myself to do anything productive, and I was gonna look for duffer on whatsapp to complain to her about Molly Weasley and the way she killed Bellatrix Lestrange, in the haze of my shleepiness I accidentally went to the Whatsapp Contacts page and read everyone's status. Haha. Kinda interesting, I think. So I thought to record them down just so I can laugh and chuckle at them when I'm old and rotting.

Aunty Ping: Thermomix.. The Super Kitchen Machine! <3 (hahahahahhaha!!!!)
Fiona: *Aiyawoyawoi*
Christabelle: saranghaetaechokhunwoo <3
Jessie: Can I please stay in the clouds/If I were a painter. (haha I don't know which one is her number!!! Always forget!!!!! :O)

JC: Hey people, love your school cause you sure don't want to be here. (WOAH!!! Hahahaha)
Leong: ekeke (-.-)
Moses: hello mama! (-.----)

Denise: between hello and goodbye.

Now that's a really good one lo. Between hello and goodbye. She said that it means everything that's in between. All the memories, the adventures. All those that happen after you meet someone and before they become nothing but a memory. Sighhh. Haha. :( Life is such. If only things were guaranteed to last. But have faith anyway. :) :)

As for mine, haha. Sho lame. My past statuses are:

-The whatsapp emoticon of the princess, cuz I used to always say that that was me. Haha.
-Like a tattoo. (HMMMM. Duffer. Saddddd!! Flinch!)

Ello!

Thurs 5/4/12 19:27

Hehe hello! Haha. Today was a normal sleepy day. There's this Farmer's Market in Harcourt every Thursday. Elaine and I stumbled upon it one day when we were on the way for coffee. It's pretty cool, kinda like a mini mini Caribbean Market in Melbourne.. Is that what it's called? The one at night with all the food stalls. So yea. We went there today for lunch!! There was a stall selling paella, risotto, Thai food, Mexican tortillas, Lebanese wraps with Kofta lamb and falafel I think. Then there were smaller stalls selling baked goods, like those French bread and pastries, caramel slices and the works, and cupcakes. Elaine and I both bought two cupcakes each. 1 for €3 or 2 for €5. Hahaha. Bought a banana bread with buttercream icing, and a raspberry crumble cupcake!! :D :D :D And a double choc chip cookie which was only €1!!!!!! The one in the cafeteria is that price and it's not even that good. So that was a real plus! Haven't eaten the cupcakes yet. Waiting for after dinner wheeee!! :D :D Today was quite sunny but cold, but SUNNY. So that was a blessing. :D I whatsapped Leonnie.. waiting for her reply! And whatsapped Maxine too!! Hahaha.

Anyway. I don't know how many days left to the Leaving. 56? :O Getting smaller and smaller (the number I mean!)!!! :O OMYGOSH. Jia you jia you! 'Persevere', as duffer says. Haha. Oooh. Talked to Ning Xuan today!!! She's the other Malaysian in fifth form (one year smaller than the Leaving Cert year). There're only three Malaysians here, so Elaine and I were told about her. We've seen her once or twice around school, but I saw her today in my Physics class. Cuz it's just Easter classes, so she came to help her revision etc (-.- she doesn't even need it gosh not even sitting for the exam!) haha. Anyway. So I just went up to her after class and was like 'hey are you Ning Xuan?' and she gave me this super weird look like 'HOW DID YOU KNOW, STALKER?' kinda thing. Haha. We talked a little. I don't know.. the impression I got from her is like she wasn't that excited. Maybe cuz she's young and it's her first time away, she doesn't feel the yearning for home. Or maybe she's really bad at expressing herself? Haha. Cuz she didn't really seem that excited, like when I told her about the Malaysian restaurant and stuff. I don't blame her la.. young people. (hahaha prob just a year difference -.-) But it's true though.. Lots of people leave home without having formed a true sense of who they are.. And lots of people, sadly, think it's super cool to be in a Western country and wanna immerse themselves in the new culture and so they get easily influenced, doing things they might not have done in their own country. I'm kinda worried about Steph too in that respect. But anyway. Just pray la.. pray they know who they are and that they won't lose sight of themselves. Losing yourself is so easy when you're away. :O :O First hand experience man! Anyway.. I'll see Ning Xuan at Physics tomorrow again. See how it goes. :D

Ohh ya. Been playing this on Kat's iPod Touch. Hahaha. Kinda hard. :D It's the game Kel introduced long ago. Whee! VALET HERO!

My teeth are so yellow. Too much caffeine and chocolate I think. :/ Bought new better toothpaste and stuff. UGH. So worried about my teeth. Study study study! Tmr last day of classes then one week off!!! Need to do lots IN EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!!!! COUNTDOWN!!!! Persevere! :(
