I just finished my first week of school. Really, I have A LOT of homework!!!!!!!!!!! I just came back home from school at 3.30pm and did my homework until 7.30pm!!! I still have some more homework I haven't finished yet. Sigh. And it's only the first week! Have to finish it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is Saturday and I'm going to a different school (Glen Waverly) to attend Indonesian classes. Because my school doesn't offer that subject, so I have to go to another school to do it. Indonesian is sort of like Malaysian, but a bit different. Hopefully it won't be too hard. I'm a bit sad that I have to go to school on a Saturday. =( But it's ok.. no choice. It's from 9am until 12.30pm. =D Wait. Why did I put a smiley face there? NO SMILING HERE!!!!!!!!
I've made some new friends. I'm really, really happy. (smiling here!) I met this girl called Fong Yun. She's from Malaysia!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D =D I really like her. She's same height as me and she speaks English. But her English is not perfect. She's very nice. She speaks Chinese! High five!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Malaysian Chinese is so different from China Chinese. Happy to have a 'Malaysian Chinese' friend here. But we don't speak Chinese to each other, we speak English. When the China students start blabbing off in high speed China Chinese, we always exchange looks. It's so funny. She's 16 this year. I'm a bit sad that she's not in the same year as me. So sad. But then.. never mind. It's great that I have met her. She's still in the Language Center, the place where overseas students have intensive English lessons until they 'graduate' and go for normal classes (I didn't have to go though). I don't know why she's there, her English is okay. But she said she'll probably be out in a term. I'm really, really happy that I met her. You know, I've been waiting for so long, waiting since I started studying in Aus, waiting for that friend who I can connect with instantly. And I've met her. When I'm walking alone towards the Overseas Room to look for her (where the language classes (that's what they call it, even though it's only English) are held), I think about how unbelievable it is that I've met her and I smile to myself like a complete idiot. Haha. And you know what makes me smile to myself like a complete idiot? How much I think she's like Janice. Haha. I'm serious! I really think she's so like Janice! Physically, she's tanned and has big eyes (a bit bigger than Janice's eyes though) and short hair (different hair styles though). That's so like Janice! Really! And then the way she talks! Her English sounds like Janice! The way you both put your lahs in, the way you both explain things, it's so similar! Hahaha. It's so cool and funny to me, it's got me smiling like an idiot to myself (yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, like I'm not enough like one already).
I also met a few other people. There's a girl called Janet. She's in some of my classes (remember that we change classes for different subjects!). She's from China but she migrated to Australia a few years ago. She speaks Australian English. She's quite nice. A bit quiet. But she's a nice friend. =D She's very fair, a random fact, I know. We walk home with Sum Sum after school. They take the train and the train station is on the way to my house here. So yea. =D
I met another two other Malaysians who have moved to Australia. They speak Australian English. They are both nice people. They speak very well and it's fun talking to them. But I don't really like one of them, Michelle, who is in my English class. She's really smart and witty, but I think she doesn't really have enough respect for the teachers. Or maybe it's because I'm too nerd. Haha. Anyway. The other girl, Ee, she's in my Chemistry class but I've never talked to her in class. I met her at the library. She's really friendly and nice to talk to. But I'm still not sure about what kind of person she is. =D I'm just happy I've made some friends that I can talk to easily in English. But then I'm still looking for a friend who is like Fong Yun and also reads story books. Because I'm a nerd and love books. Haaaaaaha.
The weather here is crazy!! It's been quite hot, like in Malaysia. Like 35degrees or something like that, which is about the same as Malaysia. But then today it's like 17degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So cold!!!! It's crazy! You have to always be prepared for all sorts of weather and always, always have to check the weather before leaving the house. Seriously! It's crazy how it's really 'four seasons in a day', as my mum puts it.
The skirts here (uniform) are kind of long. Actually, they are not that long. It's just because all the girls alter their skirts until it's above their knees, so it seems long. So I just bought a summer skirt (the winter one I have one already) and altered it myself. So yea. Because I shortened it myself by sewing (HAND sewing!) and I did it a bit shorter than I intended because I don't have the skills. But anyway. It's still sort of ok. I'm not going to redo it I think. It took me about 2 hours to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So tiring. But it's ok. I'm kind of proud of myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooooowwwwwww. I altered a skirt all by myself! And it looks so neat and nice. Hahahaha. Better than when my mum altered my winter skirt. Haha.
So yea. That's about it. Growing up, learning new stuff. Like making my yum sandwich for school. =D Really yum!
I've been reading the same thing over and over again. Waiting for Clif to come back online. WHERE ARE YOU?
Corny-ness. It's a lot of corn. HAHAHAHA. Nice Clif. You are so awesome.
