The Sky Down Under

You know I've been so amazed. Since the first day I've been here, the sky has not ceased to amaze me. The sunset here is absolutely AMAZING. Probably because there are many clouds here and the shapes and formations of the clouds are always different. They are always around the sun when it's about 5pm and the clouds block out some sun rays and you can see those sun rays shooting out from the other side of the cloud. It's really, really beautiful. There was once it had been raining on and off for a few days and it just stopped drizzling. Me and my mum were in the car, picking Kat up I think. Then I saw this most amazing rainbow. It was so BIG and CLEAR. It was right in front of us and it was perfect. A perfect curve from end to end. Wow. I never thought rainbows were that beautiful, seriously. The colours were distinct and it was just wow. But what was more amazing than that fake-looking rainbow was that there was a second rainbow framing the first. It was not as obvious as the first one, it was sort of faded, like the normal rainbows we usually see. The first rainbow was a primary rainbow, the second was a secondary (or maybe the other way around). But how cool was that? It was awesome. Two rainbows framing each other. How rare is that? Ok, I have to stop blabbering about this. You get the picture.

The sunsets here are very, very beautiful. There was once the clouds looked like a smear of gray paint, a line above the horizon. It was smooth right along the sky and the sun was half hidden, the top of it showing. The sun rays were shooting out from the bottom of that one LONG cloud. It really was beautiful. There were many sunsets (well, not really sunsets, just the sky and the sun) which were so beautiful I just could not stop staring at it. Wow.

Oh well.. That's all. I wish I had a camera, and if I did, I wish I could just pull over and snap a few pictures, preserve that beautiful view digitally that will last forever, the beautiful views that so many miss because they are not looking.

  1. You should always bring your cam wherever you go. Haha.

I saw a witch shaped cloud this recently but then I don't have cam to snap it down. Zzz.

  2. Haha. But it's not easy to just stop and take a photo. So I just stare at the sky and hope that I'll remember it, but I never will, I can only imagine it. That's why photos and memories are irreplaceable. =D
