Anyway. Yesterday was the first day of my exam. It was ok I guess. Nothing THAT hard, but hopefully I scored my highest! =D Today there's no school because we don't have any double periods today. Our exams are taken on our double periods. So yes, that means we don't arrange a special time table for exams which makes me not get the 'Oh no! Exams are coming!' feeling because it feels so informal just like a test. Oh well. I know I always go back on my decisions (I'm so tired of it) but I sat for the Maths Methods exam, which, I remember now, I mentioned in one of the lousy posts. So yea. I sat for Paper 1 on Friday and Paper 2 the day before yesterday. It was ok-kay-ish. Paper 1 was ok, but I thought paper 2 was quite hard but only because I was nervous and I got a headache thinking. Oh well. So I got the results on Tuesday. 83% for Paper 1 and 66% for Paper 2. Big difference right? But I'll talk more about it in the Excuses post.
Yesterday, after exams (Maths and Language Analysis or ENO) I followed Kat to Box Hill to get stuff for dinner. There, I bought my FIRST sushi in Australia. They call it hand-rolls here. Which is weird to me. Haha. Anyway. I bought a Salmon Avocado Handroll from Sushi Sushi for $2.30. T-T Seriously. It's a long hand-roll, but not as long as those Temaki we get back home. I think it was so nice! Nice, only because it was my first ever sushi in Australia, and because I was so excited. But truthfully, it wasn't that great. It wasn't that fresh but the wasabi was nice and fragrant (?). Haha. Today there was no school and me and Kat went to the city so I could get my school books for next year. We bought a few, the others were either out of stock or Kat would try to get them from her friends. Alot of my books are new editions which is sad. One new text book costs about $70!!!!! Sigh. I hope I'll like my text books. Today, I bought another sushi. Haha. This time it was from.. erm.. I forgot the name. It was $2.20 and I bought the same hand-roll. But it wasn't as nice mainly because the wasabi came from a packet and it just didn't smell that nice. Oh well. I enjoyed it anyway. Kat also bought me a Brumby's cinnamon donut. It was ok. =D
The weather is crazy. You remember how I was talking about the weather and how it was getting really warm? Well, it's back to cold now. Sigh. I think I prefer warm weathers, even though I know it's going to be really hot and stuffy, because I don't want to go cycling in the cold. That's torture to me. It's been raining alot these few days. Last Saturday, it rained the whole day. But it wasn't those heavy torrents that floods like what we get back home, just normal, cold rain. Looking at the weather report, it shows only 20+ degrees for the whole week. Sigh.
I've been watching alot of dramas. Since I don't have much of a social life, or a pathetic one, that's all I look forward to. I'm watching Hana Yori Dango (I know, I'm outdated!) and Vampire Diaries. Haha. (What a sad life).
OOOOoooohhhhh. Good news (nerdy news?): I FINISHED READING THE TAKING! I know. It took me ages. I think the book is only ok. It didn't really give me the suspense I was looking for. But the thing I liked about it was that it was absolutely unpredictable. Only until the very end did you know how it was ending. Maybe Sci-Fi books are all like that, unpredictable. Definitely a refreshment for me as I always seem to be able to guess the ending in the middle of a book. Anyway. The ending was, I think, AWESOME. Really wowed me. =D Well.. I think.. a 4.5 or 5 slash 5 for me. 4.5 because of the no-suspense thing, but 5 for it's unpredictability and ending. I have to say, I would have thought that if the story ended with them reaching the mountains and stuff, it would really have sucked, like Cell by Stephen King. But it ended with that beach scene. Wow that was great. Haha. Ok. Enough ranting.
I bought Montana, 1948 which we will be doing for next year's English. I read the prologue and it seems really, really interesting. The prologue was really fantastically written. I can't wait to read that book. Someday! =P
Oh and thanks to Vanessa, I took the Nerd/Geek/Dork test. Haha. Apparently I am 52% nerd, 43% geek and 30% dork. Hmm. According to the website, a nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. Hmm.. I think that strips me off my self-proclaimed Geek title. Sigh. Oh well. Now we know the truth. Not going to change to Nerd, too much trouble. Haha. But from now on, I'm a proud nerd! (Sigghhh..)
Well.. That's all I guess. Kel went to Chadstone because today had VIP sales or something. She bought a small Christmas tree, requested by Kat, and bought other random stuff and SIX packets of chips!!!!!!!!! Oh well. Cheers to keeping fit. Haha.
Good Luck in your exams! Or are they over already... Haha.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is pretty crazy too. Sometimes it like an oven and next thing you know there's a heavy downpour, haha. It rained the whole afternoon today, but it's a good thing. I hate hot weather, I'd be surfing the web drenched in sweat since my study room has low ventilation and a low ceiling. Haha.
I'm watching Hana Yori Dango too, well, the Korean version. I just started on it while everyone already finished watching it ages ago, haha.
Cool! I'm watching it too now. But I think after watching the Jap one, I think the Jap one is funnier and more entertaining to watch. I know the guy isn't that good looking but he's so cute when he gets all excited about going out with the girl. So yea.. Don't think I'm going to finish watching the Korean one. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold now... I don't like the cold. It makes you dread washing your hands because after that your hands are ice cold.
Haha. Exams are over! The holiday is here! But.. like I said. It's a pretty miserable way of spending your holidays. Oh well.
I haven't watched the jap one, maybe I'll watch it when I have nothing to do. I just finished watching the korean one a few days ago, it's pretty good but lots of cliffhangers though. Haha, the actors in the korean version really are good looking...
ReplyDeleteWOW! First time hearing (seeing?) you say that a guy is hot! Haha.. You didn't even talk about Taylor Lautner (Jacob). Well.. actually he isn't THAT hot, but just LOADS hotter than Edward Cullen.
ReplyDeleteHaha. But yea, I agree with you about the guys in the Korean one. Haha. The ones in the Jap aren't that good looking but it's just so funny. But I think it won't be anymore because you watched the Korean one already and you know what's going to happen. Sigh..
