Holiday

This holiday has been packed full with activities! I haven't had much time to spend with my mum and for that, I am really sorry. But it is the only time when us friends can hang out without having to worry about school the next day.

So on the day we finished our exams, also the last day of school and the beginning of our one week holiday, Friday (13th March), I had volleyball training that afternoon because of the open competition we had the next day. Most of us were really looking forward to a relaxing day out with friends or at home trying to catch some sleep, but we had to go for training. It was kind of tiring, considering I hardly got enough sleep studying late for Sejarah the night before. Well, they did put Sejarah and Moral for the last day of exams, and after Add. Maths and Physics! Who would really study Sej and Moral after gruelling papers like that? So yea, alot of us had to study really hard for those last two subjects seriously last minute. Sigh.

But still, we had to celebrate the end of our first exams, and of course our survival! So me and Angela and Turtle and LeePei wanted to hang out together but with the training in the way, we just resorted to a small relaxing lunch at my house. LeePei couldn't join us because she had something else to do (ahem) and so Angela and Turtle and I enjoyed a delicious spaghetti and roasted chicken lunch, cooked by mum of course. Then we just chatted and chatted. It was very enjoyable! Lent Angela some books and Turtle some computer games (ahahaha). Then headed for training.

LeePei then came to my house after training and we watched a DVD. Kung Fu Panda, oh I love that movie!! (There is no charge for awesome-ness... or attractive-ness!!). She slept over, and we both were anticipating the next day!

Saturday! The competition was hosted by UMS but held at Politeknik. We had oats and french toast for breakfast, we went to Damai to meet up the others and went down to Politeknik together. It was so tiring! We had to stay there the whole day and played 4 mathces altogether! FOUR! By the third match we were all wanting to get some sleep and had sore muscles from standing and playing the whole day. I got back home by 8.30 at night. It was kind of funny. In the morning everyone was pumped up and everything, there were small cheers heard. But nearing the end, even the players were all so quiet and it was to me, a get-it-over-and-done-with thing. Talk about bushed man! But hah hah hah, my mum took away kon lau kueh tiaw and wa tan ho and a mi sua thing from somewhere and that was my dinner. Simple and delicious!, with an Excel for reviving purposes!

The next day Sunday, I don't remember what I did, but I just know I spent time studying for my Theory of Music exam at my grandma's house. We had a small family dinner, the parents played Mahjong and we just relaxed and watched tv. But we all watched the Swiss Open badminton competition together. Haha, talk about sports bringing people together. We were all watching Lee Chong Wei together and supporting him and cheering and criticising also. Haha. He won guys! HE WON LIN DAN 2-0! And with dignity too! It was a fantastic game! He deserved it definitely! Exciting and full of suspense, it was great fun watching together! Honestly, I didn't get much done until I went back home after Lee Chong Wei. So I didn't get to watch Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong play. But, all ends well anyway! Congrats to them!!! Hopefully more domination from Lee Chong Wei in the future!!!

Monday. Theory of Music exam once again in KK High School at 9am. It was kind of okay, hope to score a distinction but not daring to hope. =S I think I did my best. Many thanks to my teacher! Haha. Cheng cheng cheng, had volleyball training that day too. Sigh. Me and my parents, with my grandma and other relatives, went out for dinner in this shop near Alamesra (or IN Alamesra) called Seremban or something. It was famous for its crabs. Oh my gosh! The crabs were HUGE! Charging at RM45 per kg. The other food apart from the crabs were great too but the crabs... wow I had never seen such big crabs, cooked so deliciously. I hope to go again actually! So all crab lovers!! Head down there to be served some amazing crabs! =D

Tuesday. Ooooh! Went to Asia City Wagamama with Leepei, her sis and bro, and Turtle and her sis. We had this RM50 voucher on sushi ONLY, and one of the conditions were that you have to eat twice the amount of sushi of the voucher you are using, for the voucher to be valid. Which means you have to eat RM100 worth of sushi to be able to rebate the RM50 using the voucher. We thought it would be easy, what was RM100 of sushi? HAH! We were suffering! Because half of them ordered set meals due to the coincidence that it was a Tuesday, the buy one free one day for meals, everyone was so full. We were the earliest to be there, almost the last to leave! We succeeded in the end! With one scoop of expensive Japanese-ish ice cream and warm water (not FOC in this era anymore), I only paid less than RM15. Worth it? You decide!! We then walked around Asia City, then CP, then Warisan to look for sports pants for Turtle, bought a weird but nice mango juice thing from Juice Up and then me and LeePei went for training.

Wednesday. Hmm... Oh my gosh. Theng came over my house in the morning about 9am. I was of course still half-dead in my bed. Angela joined her and they both watched as I debated in my mind whether I should get up. Haha. We had planned a day out and UNFORTUNATELY PAULINE COULDN'T JOIN US (F5!! F3, I think. Is F3 the maolit one? =P). So we went out for breakfast in MCDONALDS! Yes, we had the breakfast meals. It was kind of nice. Theng had the Big Breakfast, I had the Sausage McMuffin with Egg and Angela had her HOTCAKES (hahahaha), together with a hash brown and a hot milo each. We chatted, watched Theng experience the Grape Jam, Salt and Pepper Tubes first hand, and debated with Angela on whether the syrup should be poured first or the butter should be spread first. Haha. I had a vanilla cone for dessert and Theng had another hot milo. Then went home, watched a movie (Oh! I think we watched Kung Fu Panda, didn't we? O.O), then went to Bukit Padang. Cheng cheng cheng! Theng had a mango juice/milkshake thing, we shared a Kaya+Butter Ngiu Cha Kueh and I had a carrot juice, Angela had an ABC. It was fun! Then it was volleyball training again. Turtle, LeePei and I made plans during Wagamama to go to Fratini to eat on Wednesday night. But sadly (gah!) Turtle's mum made her go to her tuition. So LeePei just came to my house after volelyball and stayed over. We watched half of Run Daddy Run (Hon Kong movie I think) and then changed to All About Women. Haha. Wasn't really nice but entertaining. Oh! We had a very nice dinner. Because my mum thought we were going out to eat with Turtle, she didn't cook anything. So me and Pei raided the fridge and found a few slices of waffles. We took out strawberry jam, choc spreading, smooth peanut butter spreading, maple syrup, and bananas to be used as our toppings. We heated up the waffles and sat down in front of our tv to eat. Haha! Improvisation is intelligence! Hahaha! =D

Thursday. Woke up and I let Pei use the internet while I practiced piano because piano lesson was the next day and I hadn't touched the piano since school exams hit us. About 2pm, we went to Synergy because Pei had a dance class there at 2.30pm. Spent time reading a book in the studio and entertaining myself watching them dance while the class went on. We left early about 3.30pm and walked to school for volleyball. Sigh. It rained heavily (hahaha) and we played in the hall. It was easier, definitely and so much fun! Had a great time.

Friday (today!), once again, Theng came to my house at about 9am. I was so tired! I slept late because I was blogging and discussing what we were going to do today by MSN with YuenNie, Pauline and Angela. I let Theng use the computer and I practiced piano again. Angela came at 11am. So I spent some time listening to 3rd pieces because I had to choose one already. THen at about 12.15, my mum sent me to my piano lesson. Angela and Theng stayed in my hosue and YuenNie came to pick them up at about 1pm. They went to Damai and ate at Upperstar, then went to Coffee Bean. After my piano at 1.30pm, I went for my dentist appointment in Damai. So it all worked out well. Met them at Coffee Bean and at about 3+, we set off to Tanjung Aru with the help of Yuen Nie's mum who drove us there.

It was so exciting. We were all so happy to be able to be there together. Yuen Nie bought lekor, I bought sour mango (!!!!), I ate chicken wings and had a carrot juice (yes, another carrot juice) and Angela had a coconut. It was their own fault to have eaten at Upperstar and had a drink at Coffee Bean that they couldn't really enjoy eating together there. Haha. But we had fun chatting anyway. After everyone had finished (or rather I), and also scraping the coconut flesh out, we went to the beach. We did alot of things, but mostly on the same spot. Haha. We tried to take pictures, tried to look for people who could help us take a picture, wrote our names in the sand, took more pictures, took solo pictures (HAHAHA) and played with the RM2 bubble liquid soup thing (the liquid thing you blow to make bubbles), then finally took a walk. Oh my gosh, Pauline so does not belong to the beach. She kept screaming because of the tiny balls of sands the sand crabs make and because of the sand crabs themselves. Gosh! Hahahaha! We finally got someone to take a picture for us. Walked back. And it was about time to go. Angela had a corn too. Haha. The solo pictures were the funniest. The view was so wonderful and amazing. The sea was so calm after the small rain and whenever I looked at the camera screen to view a picture just taken, it really took my breath away. It really was so beautiful. Plus, didn't go for training. Haha.

So now I am here, blogging about my holiday. (I know it's long.. you guys must be half asleep) Well, I'm grateful to have this holiday, and to have spent it the way I have spent it. I made a list of things to do during this holiday and have not done any at all. So tomorrow I will start. Hopefull I'll be able to clear everything on that list. So thanks guys for the company and everything! I really really enjoyed it and would not have traded it for anything! =D

Well, we are now given a fresh start, to pick ourselves up and start over in this seemingly tougher life of S1, and hopefully, we will be able to stay strong in friendship and also buck up on our school stuff. Theng is leaving tomorrow morning. BYE THENG!!!!! I'll miss you so much! Take care of yourself and study hard! But don't be too stressed kay! You deserve to be there so make it worthwhile! =D Have a safe flight! =D =D

Good night all!! Be grateful KK people, for we have a beautiful sea view and a (not so) clean beach!

Big Bang!

This is just a korean music video. It was the one that woke me up on an afternoon when I was supposed to be studying but fell asleep. My mum turned the tv on, one of her methods to get me to wake up, and I woke up hearing such a nice, upbeat song. It's such a happy, funny video and then when I see all the people on the beach I'm like wooowww!! So, enjoy!! Because I know I did! (winks) Haha

UPDATE!

My perfect birthday. 12th of Feb, 2009! =D

So it was a Thursday, and just like any other day, there was school. (Yes, throw something at my head if you want, but) I don't really remember everything. BUT, I know I was really happy. Close friends gave me presents and birthday cards (my favourite!!), birthday wishes here and there. Happy that people wished me a happy birthday. Yup, doesn't seem like alot but it means alot to me. For some weird reason... hmm. So I had a great, great day in school. Thanks, guys! Seriously! =D

As far as I knew, I didn't have anything planned, no birthday celebration or something like that. Hey, I had already celebrated before right? And I know what you're thinking. Probably a surprise dinner or something like that.

HAH! No. What I had was way better.

I had a simple dinner in my house with my family. Define simple? Well, not really simple. My mum toiled in the kitchen and (drumrolllll) grilled big PRAWNS! GRILLED PRAWNS! My absolute FAVOURITE! Seriously. And it was so delicious. Seriously the best prawns I had ever tasted! Topped with black ground pepper. Mmmmm... simply perfect! Of course, my mum cooked other delicious stuff but unfortunately (seriously unfortunate) I cannot remember what (enlighten me if you do!). But I just know it was all just perfect.

I remember I was rushing to finish up my homework because I wanted to be 100% relaxed for dinner. So there I was rushing my Moral Tugasan Harian. Then I wrote on a piece of A4 paper my instructions or some might say rules for my 2009 16th birthday dinner. The first was saying my mum had to bath to sit down for my birthday dinner. Weird? This is because she never got any time to bath after cooking a big dinner for dinners at my house. She had to toil in the kitchen for hours and hours and then she comes out all flustered and stressed, without any time to bath before the guests arrive, and have to serve them, trying to make them all happy. So I wanted her to be happy and relaxed too for my birthday dinner. My other instruction, was for my dad to wear a happy shirt. What me and my parents mean by 'happy shirt' is a comfortable shirt, usually worn only inside the house and not for other people to see you in, and definitely not to impress the opposite gender in. HAHA. Anyway, my dad came home early from work (thanks, dad! =D) and bathed into a shirt that doesn't exactly fit the definition of 'happy shirt' but, is the shirt that I chose with him! (Seriously exclamation mark). We chose it together during the 2nd round of 'free shopping' at 1borneo using only vouchers. He only joined me and my NaiNai for the 2nd round and we got the shirt from Goldlion and it really is a nice shirt. So I was kind of touched when he came downstairs, having bathed, and said 'Hey. Is this a happy shirt?'. I don't really know whether he remembers that that is the shirt we bought together. But oh well. Believe in the best! =D So yup, that was great too! =D

Ahem. Those were the only two things I had on my list. There was a drawing of a stick-figure girl in a stick-figure dress wearing a stick-figure birthday cone-shaped hat holding up her bandaged index finger, because I had injured (sprained I think) my finger from volleyball and it was swollen. Fat-finger, I called it.

Anyway. So yeap. Then because my oh-so-loving brother had to go out to meet his friend (a previous appointment, he says) for dinner (yes, dinner! Not supper!), he had to leave early. So my mother insisted on me opening my presents first before he left. I didn't really want to. You want to know why? -.- Because I was so scared that I would cry reading the birthday cards. It's always so touching. Gosh. Anyway. I did in the end. So i opened Kev's seriously badly wrapped present. It was like one heap of greyish-black crumpled wrapping paper. And it was a pillow! Those pretty pillows! The soft, smooth ones that are quite expensive and are so nice to touch and hug. THOSE pillows (if you know what I mean)! It was pink and heart shaped (yea...) and had 'LOVE' written on it. Haha. Thanks Kev!! =D

Then I opened a small box from my parents. It was an IPOD!!!! Nothing special, not the new nano chromatic ipod, not even the ipod nano, just the classic one. The new classic one, 3rd generation. Only 4GB and silver, nothing special. But still, an IPOD! I've been wanting to get one! But wait, there is a story behind the ipod! HAHAHA.

Then I opened a thick envelope. It was the next present. So, slowly, I pulled the folded papers out from the envelope. What could it be? What could it be? I unfolded the papers. GASP! IT'S A LIZARD WRAPPED IN PAPER!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!

HAHA Jussst kidding. Seriously. Anyway. As I was saying. Yes, what could it be? I unfolded the papers. GASP! IT'S A (HAHA jusst kidding). 'What is this?' I thought when I looked down and saw my school's leave application form, it was an empty form, details not yet filled out.

Next paper, it was a printed out typed formal letter. 'I would like to apply leave for my daughter.....................' and right there at the bottom: Mr. Lai's chop and signature.

Next paper, it was a printed out thing with lots of tiny words on it. I looked closer at it. Right at the top: 'Passenger Electronic Ticket. Your itinerary is attached here for your reference. We look forward to your journey with us.'

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Seriously!!!! I know I totally did not show it (I don't do shocked well) but I so totally AM! I'm so grateful and HAPPY and... WOW! The best part of it? The chop and signature of Mr. Lai right there, well and ready for me to use when I want. Well, probably I was really happy about that because me and the disciplinary board in TTSS, don't really get along well. =( Sigh.

But. WOW! THANKS MUM AND DAD!

Then Kel was like 'Hey, mum! Get Kat's present.' Apparently my mum had forgotten. She handed me this posted package. It wasn't that big. The size of an A4 or smaller. It was hilarious! Because you have to write down a description of what it is you are mailing, and they will write it on the envelope outside. So, Kat being Kat, wrote exactly what it was she was mailing. So with me being so observative and everything, of course I saw the description and knew what was inside before opening it. Surprise gone. Haha. But OH I REALLY LOVE THE PRESENT! The colours were perfect. The size not really, but hahahahaha THANKS! =D

It was absolutely, positively, totally, seriously, no doubt the best birthday ever. To be able to first celebrate with my friends, then with just my family, it was great! The presents were all perfect! The birthday cards I got from my friends, I really really love those! Kev also gave me this shower scrub just before I went to bath on my birthday. I don't know whether he just happened to have a spare bottle and thought it would be a nice present too, or he bought it with me in mind, it doesn't matter to me. Seriously. He also gave me a wombat soft toy before bed I think. I know it's kind of weird for us siblings to, you know, express emotion openly and things like that, especailly with Kev. But I can tell you mean it, even when you try to hide it. Thanks, Kev!!!! =D Regardless of whether you still remember it now. Haha.

Well. I had a great dinner that night. It was... perfect. I know I describe quite a few things perfect but that dinner, that birthday, that whole day was just perfect. At times like this I always close my eyes, at least for a brief while, and thank God for giving me that moment. On that day, I thanked God that I have lived 16 years on His earth safely and healthily and happily, together with so many loved ones and am so grateful for Him watching over us and having mercy on us e-ve-ry day, 24/7. I vouched on that day to be less stressed and be happier, to show him how grateful I am, for Him, for myself and for others.

Until now, I am still trying to live life happily, it proves to be a challenge sometimes, but I know I can make it through at the end of the day, though of course, I waver sometimes. You know why? Because I have got absolutely fantastic people beside me.

Yea.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Love you guys! =D
