1AM

It is 1am, 12 of Feb, 2009!

I have officially been 16 for an hour, according to my computer time.

Cheers to being old!

My hp is currently battery-dead. But before it died, I received texts from Theng and Natalia! Thanks guys!!!!!!

I like Theng's message! Not to be mentioned here! But, HAHAHA!! Thanks, Theng! =D

The most important thing to me, definitely, is the thought! It's the thought that counts! =D Thanks Nat! Even though you should definitely be asleep at this time!

So, I hope my headache won't be there tomorrow (technically today), and that it'll be enjoyable. I have no plans for celebration, I don't know what I'll be doing later. But! Life still goes on on your birthday. Tests still go on, toilet papers need to be changed, homework still piles up. Sigh. Wish I could click the pause button at times like these.

Well, happy birthday, me! Hope I will continue working on my 2009 resolutions, my focus and my everything!

I am grateful. For the 16 years of my life, I am still healthy (hahahahaha), happy (hahahahaha), and have great friends and family beside me (!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I am grateful because God has watched over me all these 16 years, have had mercy on me and kept me and my loved ones safe and healthy, and have given me this wonderful life that alot of ppl are not fortunate to have.

So thank you, everyone; thank you, God; thank you, Mum and Dad; thank you, Kat Kel and Kev.

Do you know what lucky is?

It's me.

That's what I should try to remember AT ALL TIMES! =D

Goodnight, 16 yr old me!

birthday celebration!

My mum insisted to celebrate my birthday early, before Kat left. I was sort of indifferent about it. Sure, sure (Jacob Black! hahaha!). So it was planned and fell on a Saturday, last month (forgot the date!!! enlighten me, ppl!). The usual gang was invited, Aunty Maria and family, Aunty Anna and family, Aunty Elaine and family, Aunty Elsie and family, and family and cousins.

It was a small usual dinner with normal food cooked my mum and it was held outside the house. I was getting ready and naturally, I was late. I went down, greeted the ppl, got the presents (thanks everyone!!!) and chit chatted. Then my mum pulled me to the kitchen and she was asking me why I came down so late, ppl had arrived already and didn't she tell me not to be late. And I was just ok, ok. Then when i walked back outside.

Whoa.

The first thing I saw was Lai (moon!!!) and then my vision widened and I saw Angela, Chin, Liau, Rebecca, Pauline, HK, Dudu. With HK still in uniform. HAHA! Am I missing anyone out? Well, I was definitely surprised!!! And they bought me KFC!!!!!! Hah I'm sure they didn't have time to find a present. But thanks!!! I was really surprised and it's great to know that you guys know I like KFC! Haha. Fish came later.

It was sort of weird, I admit, to have such different groups of friends under the same roof Sort of awkward because I didn't really entertain everyone, just them (school friends!). Then it was cake time! So first, there on the table was a choc moist cake bought from I-don't-know-where. In my mind I was 'Choc cake? .....' disappointed! I didn't like choc cakes bought from outside. At all. Then another small heart-shaped cake appeared on the table. 'What cake is this???'. Apparently it was a carrot cake. I was still disappointed. Hmm..

Then Kat and Kev came out from the house carrying a cake with lighted candles on it. 'Happy birthday to you~~ (8)'. It was my mum's choc moist cake!!! My favourite, favourite cake of all time! My mum's homemade choc moist cake, where the 'moist' in the choc moist cake takes about 2 horus of stirring to do. It was baked my Kat this time, and it was WOW! I was so happy! Over the moon!! And the wordings on top of the cake was so perfect! (As in perfect for me) It was beautiful and perfect! THANKS KAT!

So, in the end, all ended well!!! I'm so grateful to have such great friends! Who go to lengths to surprise me! =D They met at my mum's station and Kev drove them down. I was so touched! =D It definitely made my day! The food, the cake, the drinks, the tables and chairs, the surprise... it took time, yes. And I Appreciate It!

You guys rock!

Most of all, Thanks Mum! Thanks so much!

belated posts!

Well. There are so many things I wanted to post about but have not done so. Chinese New Year was awesome!! I spent a few days in Kuching and of course, all the cousins went to Kuching, what we call cousining! This CNY's cousining was over the top! For the first time ever, all the KLs came! We had about 16 ppl sleeping in my grandma's bedroom! It was the first time we had to squeeze because we didn't have enough matresses! Poor, poor toilet! Or should I say poor, poor us who have to wait about an hour to get to your turn to use the toilet if you wake up late or you didn't sound your thoughts of wanting to use the toilet. It was crazy. As usual the fireworks were wow! Though it was shorter (I think) than the last time I was there, it was still a very, very long showcase of fireworks! It was amazing because my grandma's hosue being in a residential area with long, long rows of neighbours, the 3 houses next to each other opposite us also had family gatherings on the eve of CNY and they put on loads of fireworks. So it was right there in front of us! A hosue behind us had fireworks too, as well as the house a few hosues down from us. So we were technically surrounded by them! It was beautiful! =) Us 'kids' (ahem) watched from my grandma's room while the oldies (or more well known as adults!) watched from outside, together with the neighbours. The houses opposite us had a huge load of fireworks AND firecrackers! Contributers to sound, or noise as some people call it. We didn't get any fireworks. So the way we contributed was by singing Karaoke using the 'Sing Star'. It was so fun!! We sang those old songs, classic songs, and catchy songs. Hey Ya- outkast was so much fun singing, as well as the classics like 'we are the champions, we will rock you' and lots others. We also had crazy drama series marathon! There was a channel on astro, C324 if not mistaken, called 双星 which was broadcasting 4 drama series- They Kiss Again, You're My Destiny, Brown Sugar Macchiato, Romantic Princess. 1 series broadcasted for about 4, 8 hours? Then the next comes on. We first started watching You're My Destiny, but then we ended up watching all the series except Brown Sugar Macchiato because it was from 6.30am-10.30am I think. And we haven't woken up by then! =P It was crazy! We slept really late, woke up really late (ahem), watched tv all the time and ate those CNY snacks like we had bottomless stomachs! Most of us (including me!) got sick because of the hours and the snacks. Gosh, we finished most of the snacks watching You're My Destiny. It was enjoyable! Had a great, great time! Hope the cousins will all be there for the next cousining! Hmm, Kat was the only one not there. Oh well, till next time my cousins! And Sunnyhill too! Don't forget Iglool! =P

Sports day. I joined dancing and marching in the end, to help out Kat's friend. Dancing was fun, got to meet some funny ppl, and marching was..well, marching. Both weren't very good, but that's that I guess. It was an oka-y memory. I think sports day has become a neccessity now. As in it has become an event where we just go through it because it is there, when it used to be an event which EVERYONE anticipated and looked forward to, and also an event all of us willingly participated in. I really hope that the sports day will improve. Well, to all those participating in the interschools tracks and field, wish you THE BEST of luck!!! =D Do you best!

Oooh. Sports day. The field was in a TERRIBLE state. Because of the rain, rain, rain, the spike shoes and everything, the field was all MUDDY. The 2nd day of sports day, we met with big rain and wind! The field was literally a goner! So horrible. It made alot of ppl slip, and especially those pro runners who couldn't get 1st because they slipped, such a pity. And the field was also a reason why records were not broken this year. But it was fun watching ppl run so fast and slip, slide and get up in one smooth move. Woah. Haha! And there were a few cases were it was neck and neck between two runners near the finishing line. And in a desperate effort to pull ahead, one of them will jump over the finishing line and splash! into the mud! Haha! One case where it was 1500m I.S., two guys were neck and neck, and on eof them jumped too. And after that Mr. Yee was like 'ONE MORE ROUND! ONE MORE ROUND!' and they both were what? and had to run again. Haha! Amazingness! =D

I have been suffering many injuries or weaknesses these few days/weeks. Gosh. The right side of my body has many mosquito bite scabs and I got a cut on my right hand middle finger and right leg. I had a fever on Monday after sports day, and huge headache today. And today there were two tests- physics and sej, there are two on Sat- Chi and Add. Maths, one on Monday next week- BM rumusan. And incoming exam alarms are starting to sound! Go, Krystell! Fight to focus! That's what I need- focus! @@

Went to Little Italy for dinner at 9pm+ after my long nap after watching Ip Man on DVD after school. Dinner was with Kel only because parents and brother went out for a dinner party. Thanks, Kel! For dinner! =D

See next post for birthday celebration recount! =D
